Peter makes a return guest appearance at "The New Romantic Ball II", the Oh! You Pretty Things 2nd annual tribute to the "children of glam" at Le Poisson Rouge on Sunday May 27.

Last year Peter took on The Human League's classic "Love Action" and this year he'll perform a tune from a few of Sheffield's other favorite sons...provided the gold lame suit is back from the dry cleaner in time...!

Contempt seems to be the dominant tone of the day--a certain candidate for president seems to ooze it from timeless reservoirs--but it will be nothing but tough love on the lower level of The Delancey Saturday May 19 when The Dossier returns as the live guest to long-running electronic/industrial/dance monthly CONTEMPT.

Guest DJ Jeffo! joins DJ stalwarts and keepers of the Contempt flame Hi-Fi Hillary and Subvert on the decks, the Contempt go-gos do their best to distract you from the dancefloor, and we warm up the evening with a live set at 11pm.

It was a heady, inspiring week of gig-going for us in New York, basking in the much-missed genius of Pulp at Radio City Music Hall and genuflecting at the feet of technopop godfathers Kraftwerk at MoMA. But of course even these titans once operated in the margins--so in that spirit, a round-up of Dossier-related goings-on...

Our friends and frequent collaborators Hypefactor just issued their first release for new label home Custom Made Music, the sleekly sexy single Descriptive, which features a cracking remix package that includes a coke-encrusted disco contribution from The Dossier--preview and pick up the set over at their Bandcamp page.

The long-running NYC cabaret of eclectic electronics SPLICE releases its first ever compilation, the aptly titled SPLICEWERK, a collection that embodies the collaborative, boundary-smashing ethos of the night, and celebrates with an evening of DJs and live performance Sunday April 22 @ Solas. The Dossier contributes a mash-up/edit that lashes SPLICE veterans Maxx Klaxon and current working directory to Club Telex Noise Ensemble and Chicks on Speed. Peter guest-DJs the Monday April 30 outing of spanking new LES electro-pop bash The Lost Parade @ Fontana's, with live action from NYC's Girls Like Bass and Philadelphia's City Rain (both also veterans of the late Anti Gravity fete at R-Bar).

Last but not least, The Dossier takes a break from fine-tuning LP mixes and plotting a single/video release for Give Me Your Name to suit up for a return live engagement at Contempt @ The Delancey Saturday May 19.

We've never been shy about wearing our influences on our sleeve, and in the case of Depeche Mode we've actually been accused of being said influence. But when you're talking about a band that looms over the musical landscape like a sort of dark electronic Beatles, there's simply no denying the impact they've had on any technopop-minded child of the '80s & '90s.

Which is why we're delighted to be the live guest at "When the Longing Returns", the latest Depeche Mode Fanclub NY soiree, Saturday March 31st in the Gallery space of Le Poisson Rouge. Longtime keepers of the flame DJs Shred and Shunt spin DM from every era for an all-night dance party with a happy hour from 10:30-11:30pm (we'll drink to that).

We're pleased to emerge blinking from the hibernation of LP-mixing (and video-making) to join a cracking live electronic lineup Friday February 17 at Fontana's on NYC's Lower East Side.

We'll be suiting up to share the stage alongside the euphoric disco anthems of The Mystic Underground, the dark ethereal pop of Roniit (currently on a national tour), and the punishing industrial hymns of Blush Response.
